New World players are encountering several audio bugs in the PC MMORPG. These include a total lack of sounds, muffled sound effects, missing music, looping cues, and wireless headset issues. Fortunately, the New World audio glitches have quick and easy solutions. Here’s the need-to-know info on fixing auditory issues in Amazon Game Studios’ all-new MMO game.

- Open and close the inventory screen.
- Alt + Tab out of the game, then back in.
- Kill and relaunch the New World application.
- Missing ambient background music fix
- Shut the New World application.
- Verify the game files on Steam:
- Navigate to the Library tab.
- Right-click New World, then select “Properties” from the list.
- Select “Local files,” then “Verify integrity of game files” via the menu.

Note that, during the launch window, rebooting New World can send players to the back of long server queues. While closing and relaunching the game is a common solution, it might be worth living with an audio bug for the remainder of a play session for anyone that doesn’t want to risk long delays.
