Battlefield 2042 EA Play Early Access Not Working

How to fix Battlefield 2042 EA Play Early Access Not Working

The issue with Battlefield 2042 EA Play Early Access not working is that all EA Play Pro subscribers should have full access to the new early access beta for the latest Battlefield game, but are finding themselves unable to get past the login screen. Instead, players are faced with a Battlefield 2042 QR code and the about open beta early access. Is there a fix for the Battlefield 2042 beta EA Play subscription error?

To fix the error with the Battlefield 2042 EA Play not working with open beta early access, players should:

  • Logout of the Origin app, EA Play app, and Steam app completely and log back in again fresh to all three. If necessary, do not log in to the EA desktop app, or restart the system altogether.
  • Wait for EA and Ripple Effect to fix the issue. They are aware of the problem and have already released at least one hotfix that worked for some, so restarting the various apps might activate the hotfix.

Players have reported that restarting and logging in again can sort these issues, but the issue seems to be mostly on the publisher’s side or a problem with the Battlefield 2042 beta itself. The system is having to deal with multiple logins and clients at once, so having EA Play Pro on top of those is clearly too much for it. The good news is that EA lead community manager @partwelsh on Twitter says that the publisher’s “teams are investigating” the error, although they do admit that it is a “bigger problem” than other issues players have reported. So sit tight, it should hopefully be fixed soon if it isn’t already.
