Riders Republic Offline: Can you play single-player solo?

As sports games go, Riders Republic is about as big as they come. Ubisoft’s latest action bonanza can pack up to 50 players into a single match. And that’s awesome, assuming you enjoy multiplayer madness. But what if you’re not feeling like playing with others online? Can you play Riders Republic offline? Is there any sort of solo single-player mode?

Can you play Riders Republic offline?

Can you play Riders Republic offline?

You can play Riders Republic offline through the game’s Zen Mode. While Zen Mode doesn’t have all of the features of the main game, it doesn’t require an internet connection, meaning you can play offline. It’s also the closest the game has to a true solo or single-player mode.

Of course, there’s a clear catch here. Zen Mode is not like the rest of Riders Republic. It’s more like a sandbox, where you can explore the world to your heart’s content. Being called Zen Mode, you’d expect something open, relaxing, and free of conflict or a massive amount of players. That’s exactly what you get. Since there are no other players in Zen Mode, it’s the closest the game has to a single-player mode.

Granted, exploring and finding landmarks is about all there is on offer. You won’t be able to make progress or unlock achievements while playing solo, so Zen Mode is really better suited to practice.

Otherwise, there are no catches. You can jump into Zen Mode straight from the main menu in Riders Republic. You won’t be able to drop into it straight from multiplayer, so if you feel like playing solo, you’ll have to back out of online play first.

While Riders Republic isn’t a single player game, you can still play Zen Mode solo. Zen Mode also happens to be the only offline mode in what is otherwise an online-only title. For the rest of the action, you’ll want to join multiplayer matches online. And no, in case you were wondering, this isn’t a free-to-play game.
