What is the Wordle answer 221? (January 26, 2022)
The Wordle answer 221 is “WHACK.”
“WHACK” as a verb describes hitting something with some considerable force. It can also mean to kill someone. As a noun, it means a sharp blow or an attempt to do something.
Today’s word is difficult due to the “W,” “C,” and “K” letters, all of which are rare consonants. Ideally, players will quickly identify the “A” in the middle of the word, which is what we experienced with the GameRevolution recommended starting word of “ARISE.”
To find the consonants, players will have to carefully eliminate as many letters as possible. Wordle allows for six guesses with five letters each, so it’s possible to try each letter of the alphabet at least once. Thankfully, there are no duplicate letters today, as that can really throw things for a loop.
Provided you aren’t playing on Hard Mode, which forces players to reuse confirmed letters, you can fairly easily eliminate the majority of consonants, before then having a good final guess with the remaining possible letters. Hopefully “WHACK” jumps out at you at this point.
If you fail to get WHACK this time around, don’t worry, as there is always tomorrow’s word. However, if you do want to try today’s Wordle again, use an Incognito tab or clear your cookies to wipe your progress.
