With the recent launch of YAGER’s PvPvE, free-to-play multiplayer game, The Cycle: Frontier for PC, fans of the franchise have been wondering if they will be seeing a console release in the near future. With YAGER’s last game, Dreadnought, initially being released on PS4, users are eagerly awaiting confirmation on whether or not they will be able to play The Cycle: Frontier on the console. Here is what we know about The Cycle Frontier PS5 and PS4 release date.
Will The Cycle: Frontier be released on PS5 and PS4?
The Cycle: Frontier PS5 and PS4 release date have yet to be confirmed. In fact, the game may never come to these platforms.
At the time of writing, The Cycle: Frontier has just launched on PC, after an Early Access period. PC is the only platform where the game is available to play.
YAGER has neither confirmed nor denied if The Cycle: Frontier will be granted console support, though with last-gen support for PS4 of their previous title, Dreadnought, users are anticipating The Cycle: Frontier to follow suit.
When it comes to actually running the game, the PS5 would be a better position to handle the densely-populated, open-world environments found in The Cycle: Frontier. With that said, the last-gen PS4 has kept up quite nicely with other ambitious titles like Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Call of Duty: Warzone.
It remains to be seen what exactly Yager is planning to do with The Cycle: Frontier following its launch on PC. Hopefully console users will soon learn whether or not the new game is coming to their platform of choice, or if they’ll instead have to consider grabbing a gaming PC or signing up for a PC streaming service.
