Following the successful PC launch of The Cycle: Frontier, which is a free-to-play PvPvE game, eager console players are beginning to wonder if The Cycle: Frontier will be coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Surely the Series X could handle this game? So what’s stopping developer Yager from launching on Xbox? Here’s the need-to-know information about a The Cycle: Frontier Xbox release date.
Will The Cycle: Frontier be released on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One?
At the time of writing, there is no confirmed The Cycle: Frontier Xbox release date. The game is still listed as a PC exclusive, with no discussion about it coming to the current-gen Xbox Series X|S or last-gen Xbox One.
Though it hasn’t yet been announced, there is the potential for The Cycle: Frontier to be released on Xbox Series X|S and One in the future. YAGER’s previous game, Dreadnought, was released on PS4 as well as PC, setting the precedent for console support. With that said, Dreadnought never came to Xbox, so those choosing Microsoft’s system for this generation may be out of luck.
With the large-scale warfare found in The Cycle: Frontier, there’s potential for the last-gen Xbox One to miss out on this release, assuming it does come to Xbox platforms. With that said, the Xbox One is still holding on with larger high-quality games like Call of Duty: Warzone, Fortnite, and Apex Legends, which offer similar gameplay, so perhaps it could handle The Cycle: Frontier.
The Cycle: Frontier’s developers, YAGER, have neither confirmed nor denied if a console launch is on the horizon. Only time will tell if Xbox support is on the roadmap.
