Fans are wondering if the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition is out of stock. Like many limited edition games over the past few years, it’s hard to find a copy, especially since it’s a My Nintendo Store exclusive. We’ll take a look at whether Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition will get a restock or if it’ll come to Amazon or other online retailers.

There will be a Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition restock. It seems that many users weren’t able to access the My Nintendo Store when the pre-order went live due to heavy traffic, and were unable to snag a copy. The first round was sold out in less than 20 minutes. Fortunately, Nintendo issued a statement via Twitter addressing fan concerns:
“We apologize for any inconvenience that you may be experiencing while attempting to pre-order the #XenobladeChronicles3 Special Edition. The My Nintendo Store is experiencing a high volume of traffic and we appreciate your patience while we look into the issue.
We recognize that many have been unable to pre-order the #XenobladeChronicles3 Special Edition today on My Nintendo Store, and we sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. We are continuing to investigate and work toward a resolution of the issue.
Pre-purchase of the Special Edition will be made available again at a later date. An update will be provided once that timing is determined.”
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like the Special Edition won’t make its way to Amazon or other online retailers. So, if you want to grab a copy, you’ll need to turn on alerts for Nintendo’s Twitter and be ready to pull the trigger as soon as the restock notification goes out. However, there’s no promise that the same thing won’t happen again when Nintendo starts the second pre-order round.
