You couldn’t get Hisuian Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet at launch. It’s was bummer since many of us had a loyal team from Arceus we want to bring into the game. However, since Pokemon Home support launched for Scarlet and Violet, you can bring select Hisuian Pokemon into the game.
Can I bring Hisuian Pokemon into Scarlet and Violet?
You can’t catch Hisuian Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet because it’s set in Paldea, not Sinnoh (the modern name for Hisui). To get them into the game, you’ll have to transfer them from Pokemon Legends: Arceus to Pokemon Home, and send them from there into Pokemon Scarlet or Violet.
You can bring the following Hisuian Pokemon into Scarlet and Violet:
- Hisuian Arcanine
- Hisuian Avalugg
- Hisuian Braviary
- Hisuian Decidueye
- Hisuian Electrode
- Hisuian Goodra
- Hisuian Growlithe
- Hisuian Lilligant
- Hisuian Qwilfish
- Hisuian Samurott
- Hisuian Sliggoo
- Hisuian Sneasel
- Hisuian Typhlosion
- Hisuian Voltorb
- Hisuian Zoroark
- Hisuian Zorua
You’ve been able to transfer these to Pokemon Home since it was updated to be compatible with Scarlet and Violet in Spring 2023.
One thing to note is that non-Hisuian Pokemon won’t evolve into their Hisuan counterparts in Scarlet and Violet, even if you bring them over from Pokemon Legends: Arceus. For example, regardless of origin, Dartrix will evolve into a regular Decidueye in Scarlet and Violet. However, others, like Hisuian Growlithe, will evolve into Hisuian Arcanine.
