Apex Legends Mobile No Refund: Why Can’t I Get My Money Back?

Apex Legends Mobile‘s announcement regarding the upcoming closure of its live service on Android and iOS has come as a pretty devastating blow for players, as EA and Respawn confirmed that there’ll be no refunds being made available. This comes as quite a sting for those who had committed to making real money purchases on the portable battle royale’s many skins and cosmetics.

Apex Legends Mobile: Why aren’t EA giving refunds?

In a news post released yesterday on EA’s official site, Respawn Entertainment confirmed the sunsetting of Apex Mobile, while recognizing that even though it had an outstanding start, the game has “begun to fall short of that bar for quality, quantity, and cadence.”

The blog post follows the detailing of the game’s closure with an FAQ, explaining why they don’t offer refunds, coldly citing the EA User Agreement.

“We will not be providing refunds for real money purchases, per the terms of the EA User Agreement.”

In-game virtual currency balances like Apex Coins will still remain until the game closes in May of this year, but any real money purchases have been halted as of January 31.

While sore for current players, the decision looks to have been made in advance of Apex Legends Mobile perhaps not being as worthy of Respawn’s attention as its originator, currently in need of SBMM improvements.
