Bleak Faith: Forsaken multiplayer has been a feature that players have wanted to know about. This new Dark Souls-inspired game is currently tagged on Steam as being “single-player,” but PvP and co-op play is important in harnessing the game’s full potential. Here’s whether developer Archangel Studios will incorporate Bleak Faith: Forsaken multiplayer.
Does Bleak Faith: Forsaken have multiplayer, PvP, or co-op?
Bleak Faith: Forsaken does not have multiplayer, PvP, or co-op at launch. But developer Archangel Studios does plan to have multiplayer, at least in the form of PvP, in a future update.
According to a developer on the Steam community forums, Bleak Faith: Forsaken will only have “single play” on release, but it “will work on some form of multiplayer, even if only as pure PvP.” That said, this post was made all the way back in December 2021, so plans might have changed at this point.
Fortunately, a developer named ubermensch42 on the Bleak Faith: Forsaken Discord stated in March 17, 2023 (with a screenshot above) that Archangel Studios plans on adding multiplayer eventually. This will come only after it fixes bugs in the main game, create a New Game Plus mode, and “some extra content” that looks to be single-player.
The team then hopes to develop multiplayer and console builds for the game (likely for PS5, PS4, and Xbox) at the same time, hopefully getting crossplay to work for “a completely connected online community.”
