The Baldur’s Gate 3 Noblestalk mushroom is a quest item for the Find the Mushroom Picker quest, but getting it is easier said than done. The Noblestalk is surrounded by a field of mushrooms that will explode on impact and destroy the Noblestalk in the blast if you’re not careful. Though this quest item is actually optional, grabbing the mushroom will cut the time it takes to get full rewards. Here’s how to get the Noblestalk mushroom safely in BG3.
How to grab the Baldur’s Gate 3 Noblestalk Mushroom
To get the Noblestalk mushroom without having the Bibberbang mushrooms explode, here are several solutions:
- Use Misty Step – This is the easiest solution, since the backpack that you can grab during the quest will contain a Misty Step scroll. Otherwise, you can cast the Misty Step spell and teleport yourself over to a safe spot next to the Noblestalk.
- Cast Mage Hand – This simple spell will create a spectral hand that you can use to pick the Noblestalk.
- Jump along the rocks – If your character has a high Strength score, you can possibly leap to the rocks that surround the field of mushrooms and navigate your way close to the Noblestalk. You can also use a Potion of Glorious Vaulting to triple your jump distance.
You can also use other spells, like Fly and Gaseous Form, to make sure you don’t disturb the exploding mushrooms. Picking the Noblestalk might trigger the explosions
Once you have the Noblestalk, which is the item that Baelen is supposed to get for the questgiver Derryth, you can hand this to her for additional rewards. She will tell you about her shop in Baldur’s Gate and be grateful for you assistance. Passing an Intimidation check will have her give you a Tarnished Ring as well. You can also keep the Noblestalk for yourself, but that will make Derryth angry with you.
That said, the Noblestalk can be given to Shadowheart as well that will unlock some interesting dialogue options with her.
