You’ll need to find Dammon in three locations in Baldur’s Gate 3 if you want to complete Karlach’s companion questline. However, he can be elusive, and it’s possible to miss him. Fortunately, unlike some quests in the game, it seems possible to start his in any of the three acts.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Dammon location Act 1
It’s probable that you’ll meet Dammon in BG3 before you find Karlach. For most of Act 1, he’s located in Emerald Grove in the smithy near the makeshift jail. He’s easy to track down if you stick to the west side of the area until you reach where the Tiefling refugees have set up camp.
If you bring Karlach and some Infernal Iron, he’ll complete the first part of her companion quest. He’ll then say to meet him in Baldur’s Gate to continue repairing her Infernal Engine, but he won’t make it there…
He’ll leave Emerald Grove along with the other Tieflings when/if you beat the three goblin bosses.
BG3 Dammon location Act 2
After the Tiefling refugees leave Emerald Grove in BG3, you won’t see Dammon again until you enter Act 2. Fortunately, he’s easy to find. He’s set up shop in the stable at the Last Light Inn. He’s as friendly as ever, and he’ll complete another set of repairs on Karlach’s Infernal Engine if you bring him another piece of Infernal Iron.
BG 3 Dammon location Act 3
Unfortunately, we haven’t quite made it to Act 3 yet. We assume that Dammon will still try to reach the city, so you’ll likely meet up with him there. At this point, you should have plenty of Infernal Iron and be able to continue Karlach’s quest.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Dammon FAQ
You’ll need to locate Dammon in three different places: Emerald Grove in Act 1, the Last Light Inn in Act 2, and an assumed location in the city during Act 3.
In the Emerald Grove, Dammon is situated at the smithy close to the makeshift jail. Stick to the west side, heading towards where the Tiefling refugees are camped. However, he will depart this location after you defeat the three goblin bosses.
Once you enter Act 2, Dammon will be at the Last Light Inn, specifically in the stable. Bring him Infernal Iron, and he can further assist with Karlach’s Infernal Engine repairs.
