Capcom announced a HD remaster of Resident Evil 0 last month, following the success of the Resident Evil HD Remaster. Now the company has released the first trailer for the upcoming game.
Resident Evil 0 originally came out on the GameCube back in 2002. The trailer showcases an impressive visual upgrade for the remaster, including a few brief moments of gameplay.
As for the game itself, it serves as a prequel to the first Resident Evil. Rebecca Chambers is the main protagonist, and she teams up with Billy Coen to investigate some strange events just outside of Raccoon City. Resident Evil 0 introduced an inventive partner swapping mechanic, which allows players to switch between the two characters regularly.
The HD remaster of Resident Evil 0 comes out in early 2016 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
