Resident Evil Stuntwoman Survives Motorcycle Crash, Coma, and Horrendous Injuries

Olivia Jackson, the stunt double for Milla Jovovich in the next Resident Evil movie, had a horrible accident on September 5 when she collided with a metal crane arm during a motorcycle stunt while filming on set in Cape Town, South Africa.

Olivia Jackson was placed in an induced coma, though that was one of many injuries she sustained. Luckily, she is awake now and on a long road to recovery, describing the extent of her injuries in a Facebook post as provided by Life Is Savage:

2 weeks in a coma, brain bleed, brain swelling, severed main artery in the neck, crushed & degloved face, several broken ribs, paralyzed arm, shatter scapula, broken clavicle, broken humerus, broken radius & ulna, with an open wound and a 7,5 piece of bone missing, amputated thumb, torn fingers, 5 nerves torn out of the spinal cord…not my funnest day on set.

The next Resident Evil movie, directed by Paul WS Anderson, will expected to hit theaters in January 2017.
