Electronic Arts, along with the new story trailer for Mirror's Edge Catalyst posted above that has a small taste of "disappointed Asian father" and "concerned Nathan Drake boyfriend," has announced a closed beta for the game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Origin.
Signing up for the closed beta doesn't guarantee entry, of course, but hopefully luck and more importantly Faith is on your side. You will need an EA account to sign up.
The closed beta will have players experience the "unique free running and combat in the stunning yet perilous city of Glass." It will also likely test the servers for the game's synchronous multiplayer and help the developers fix any bugs and glitches, which are notorious in the original Mirror's Edge as this latest AGDQ speedrun will attest.
