Let's face it, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is not your typical RE game. Don't expect it to be. You'll be disappointed.
Really, Operation Raccoon City, from longtime SOCOM developers Slant Six Games, is a multiplayer-focused, third-person shooter that puts two teams against each other and then splashes a river of the living dead right over both teams. Seriously.
I played the game briefly with Cameron Teague from PlayStation Lifestyle at PAX Prime last year and really enjoyed it. It's just as easy to die from zombies (if you can even call RE's undead zombies anymore) as it is to die from enemy players. Sometimes you just have to wear down/distract your opponent enough for a pack of brain-eaters to catch up with him or her.
Slant Six Games has packed team death match, capture the intel, and a survival mode into the game, in addition to a protect/kill the VIP Heroes Mode, starring classic RE characters. Check the trailer for more details.
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will land on Xbox 360 and PS3 March 20th. Holy shit there are a lot of games in February and March.
