Travis Strikes Again No More Heroes Release Date Confirmed

It has been a long time coming, but there is finally some good news for No More Heroes fans. That’s right, the Travis Strikes Again No More Heroes release date has been confirmed! Suda 51’s Grasshopper Manufacture developed new No More Heroes title will launch exclusively on Switch, but not until next year. Indeed, Travis will strike again on January 18, 2019. There’s still a small wait, unfortunately.

For the unaware, Travis Strikes Again No More Heroes is a Switch exclusive title. The story follows the exploits of Travis Touchdown – Otaku Assassin – seven years after the events of No More Heroes 2. In Travis Strikes Again, we control Travis and Badman, who have been sucked into the “Death Drive MK-II.” This evil games console makes our hero fight through hordes of enemies throughout seven different indie game worlds. It’s up to the player to defeat the boss at the end and collect each Death Ball in order to grant a wish. The gameplay, while similar, will be different to what has come before, with more of a side-story plot.

While it’s officially not No More Heroes 3, it is hoped that any success with Travis Strikes Again could lead into a fully-fledged third entry. Oh well, any fan of No More Heroes has been eagerly anticipating this game for ages now. Although it’s sad that we have to wait until January 18 next year to play it, at least we now have an official date. We’ll be slicing and dicing endless enemies with our Joy-Cons in no time.

While we wait, we might replay through both No More Heroes games. Or, better yet, reminisce about our time spent in Santa Destroy. Oh, the times we spent collecting t-shirts, disposing of scorpions and slicing bad guys in half.
