Eurocom Closes Its Doors

After a lengthy 25 years of indepedently developing titles, Eurocom has "gone into administration" which is more or less bankruptcy by American definitions. Its remaining 50 employees have been laid off as a result.

Eurocom has issued an official statement that blames the decline of sales on console and PC as well as "intense competition from developers in countries with lower costs or those subsidised with generous games tax credits" as reasons for their closure.

Across its illustrious stint during the last two and a half decades, Eurocom has survived multiple video game generations, developing titles such as Magician (1991) for NES, Brutal: Paws of Fury (1994) for SNES, Cruisin'N World (1997) for N64, James Bond 007: Nightfire (2002), Dead Space: Extraction (2009) for Wii, and most recently 007 Legends.
