Death Stranding TGS 2018 Stage Presentation Confirmed, Hideo Kojima to Appear

Kojima Productions has confirmed that Death Stranding is headed to the Tokyo Game Show. Not only will curious onlookers get a new look at the mysterious new game from Hideo Kojima, but the creator of Metal Gear Solid himself will headline a dedicated stage presentation on the game. The Death Stranding TGS 2018 presentation is due to happen on September 23.

Confirmed by the official Kojima Productions Twitter account, we could be set to be given our best look at Death Stranding yet. The tweet in question can be seen below, confirming several details regarding the Death Stranding TGS 2018 stage presentation. While it doesn’t say that we’ll be watching any new content of the game, we’re due to learn more about it. “Hideo Kojima and cast members of the Japanese version” of the game will feature during the stage presentation. Expect to find out extra unknown details of the game, especially as the Tokyo Game Show isn’t an event to be sneezed at.

We’ve seen several trailers, but none of our questions have been answered, and more have been asked since its E3 2018 showing. This was the last time we saw the game in an official capacity, and it introduced a new face into the fray. Before that, we’ve also seen a new trailer premiered at The Game Awards. Each new trailer has shown us a new face, giving us a further glimpse into Kojima’s new world. While we cannot confirm that a new trailer will be shown at TGS 2018, it is a big enough event for such a thing to happen.

For the unaware, Death Stranding is the first game from Hideo Kojima since he left Konami. We know that it involves Norman Reedus, Guillermo Del Toro, and Mads Mikkelsen in some capacity, and has something to do with babies, but little else is known about the ambitious project. Little is known about gameplay or story details as of writing.

Hopefully, we’ll learn a little more about Death Stranding during its TGS 2018 stage presentation on September 23.
