Total War Developer Reveals Latest Developments for Current Projects

Total War developer Creative Assembly has revealed the latest developments on current ongoing projects within the long-running PC strategy game franchise. There are different teams working on many titles concurrently including the upcoming Total War Three Kingdoms and a new unannounced fantasy Total War game, as well as future updates for several released games like Total War Saga Thrones of Britannia and Total War Warhammer 2.

For starters, Creative Assembly confirms that another update is coming for Thrones of Britannia, although the details will be revealed at a later date. Meanwhile, with only five months until launch, the Total War Three Kingdoms team is now in its “most intensive development period,” with major overhauls to existing Total War mechanics and the introduction of brand new gameplay features like the ecosystem of character relationships. The Total War developer also reassures fans that it is already focusing on balancing and polishing the game, fixing any bugs in the process.

Besides that, the Total War Warhammer 2 team is busy with the upcoming Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC. Players can look forward to new Legendary Lords, new units, and more when the DLC arrives on November 8, 2018. The new Eye of the Vortex campaign will have unique objectives, which can be accomplished in many ways. However, naval battles will remain unavailable despite the undead pirates theme.

Last but not least, not much has been revealed about the new fantasy Total War title currently in pre-production. The Total War developer also confirms that it will be a while before it will announce more news about the mysterious project. Speculations about the new title range from Total War Warhammer 3 to brand new IP being adapted to the franchise.
