Dragon Ball Z Kakarot release date revealed

Dragon Ball fans are going to begin the new year on a very positive note. The Dragon Ball Z Kakarot release date was just revealed for early 2020, so you should save the date right now.

That wasn’t the entire announcement, however, as Bandai Namco had more to share with its fans: Players who are wondering when they can preorder Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be pleased to know that this date was also announced.

The Dragon Ball Z Kakarot release date is set for Thursday, January 16, 2020, according to the official Japanese Dragon Ball site. It sounds like the sort of secretive announcement that isn’t on par with the worldwide anticipation for this game, but Bandai Namco will surely fix matters with an official announcement soon.

However, the Dragon Ball Z Kakarot release date announcement comes with some additional info. The Japanese price is 7600 yen plus taxes, something that translates into a little over $70. Preorder reservations start on September 12, as discovered by Twitter user GovetaXV (via Comicbook.com).

Preorders come with their usual share of exclusive content. In the case of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, players can expect three bonuses. The first one gives you early access to a training menu where you can fight a special character. The second bonus is a sub-story whose title is roughly translated as Dangerous Party of Friends. The third offer is a bit more cryptic, apparently some sort of edible item that you can use to raise your status in the early stages.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is an anime-based action-RPG where you get to relive the story of Goku. Unlike previous CyberConnect2 Dragon Ball games where fighting was, to a certain extent, the focus of the experience, Kakarot is a game that includes exploration, fishing, eating, and other activities, as you bond with characters from the Dragon Ball Z universe.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is scheduled for PC, PS4 and Xbox One releases on January 16, 2020.
