Following on from the reveal of the PS5’s second confirmed release, Outriders, we now know of another title that will be available on the next-gen Sony console. Rainbow Six Siege PS5 support has now been confirmed, in addition to being playable on Xbox Series X.
Speaking to Windows Central, game director Leroy Athanassoff confirmed that Rainbow Six Siege is “going to be on [the consoles] from launch.”

In addition to next-gen support, Athanassoff revealed that cross-generation play is also being worked on by the Ubisoft team. Implementing this support ultimately comes down to the people creating the next-gen consoles, Athanassoff explained, meaning that he couldn’t yet provide an ETA on when PS4 players would be able to play with PS5 users, or when Xbox One players could team up with Xbox Series X owners.
Expect to hear more about the Rainbow Six Siege PS5 and Xbox Series X enhancements as we move closer to the next-gen console launches.
