Fall Guys Cyberpunk 2077 crossover hilariously sabotaged by the internet

Aย Fall Guys Cyberpunk 2077ย crossover has been hilariously sabotaged by the internet. Mediatonic and Devolver Digital are half-jokingly trying to do a collaboration with CD Projekt Red and that may lead to aย newย Fall Guys costume โ€” but only if people on Twitter can chill out.

It all started withย theย Fall Guys Twitter firing off a tweet at theย Cyberpunk 2077 account, asking how many retweets it would take for the two games to do a collaboration. Surprisingly, The Witcherย threw its hat into the ring, too.

That should have been that, but an amusing speedbump has brought the potentialย Fall Guys Cyberpunk 2077 crossover to a halt โ€” CD Projekt Red has clarified their requirement. The companyโ€™s โ€œlegal departmentโ€ noted that they needย one retweet โ€” as inย exactly one.

Understandably, coordinating such a precise effort on the internet (much less Twitter) is nigh-impossible. At the time of writing, the tweet in question has 5,400 retweets โ€” which is 5,399 too many.

Of course, this is all probably a joke. Both games have a ton of hype behind them, and we wouldnโ€™t be surprised if a collaboration forย Cyberpunk 2077,ย The Witcher, or both are already in the works. If this requirement of exactly one retweetย were genuine, however, then we would probably never see it happen in the chaos of the internet.

Fall Guys already has a built-in crossover from day one; the PC version has been graced with a couple ofย Half-Lifeย skins as part of available to players at launch. Players who pre-ordered the game on PC got a special โ€œGordon Freemanโ€ skin, and anyone who scores 5 crowns can unlock an Alyx Vance skin, too.

Thisย Fall Guys Cyberpunk 2077 collab might not be the only new outfit on the way, either; the social media manager has taken a liking to one more unrelated skin which we may soon see in the game. You can check out the concept below while we all cross our fingers for a some kind of cool CD Projekt Red crossover.
