Escape from Tarkov is an intense multiplayer FPS, and, from today, any player with a new Nvidia GPU can gain a competitive edge. Those sporting a GeForce GTX 900 Series or newer graphics card can utilize an all-new setting to lower latency. Aiming latency and response times can be cut by up to 38%, which is obviously a notable upgrade. For eligible users, activating the Escape from Tarkov Nvidia Reflex Low Latency Mode is quick and easy to do in-game.
How to enable Nvidia Reflex in Tarkov
Here’s how to turn on Nvidia Reflex in Escape from Tarkov and activate the new Low Latency Mode setting:
- Install the latest Nvidia Game Ready Driver.
- Download the new Escape from Tarkov game update.
- Launch EFT and navigate to the in-game options menu.
- Select “Graphics,” then enable Nvidia Reflex.
After activating the Escape from Tarkov Nvidia Reflex option, players should see an instant improvement to responsiveness. According to Battlestate Games, users with the setting turned on can “acquire targets faster, react quicker, and increase aim precision.” In order to help illustrate the difference, there’s an official comparison trailer embedded below.
Unfortunately, anyone with an Nvidia GPU prior to the GeForce GTX 900 Series isn’t able to capitalize on the new setting. Reflex is a proprietary Nvidia technology, so those with a graphics card from a different manufacturer also won’t have access. It isn’t yet clear whether or not Nvidia eventually plans to roll out the software to older devices.
Anyone that isn’t eligible might be able to improve their EFT gameplay experience by tweaking the existing settings, however. Check out these solutions to common Escape from Tarkov lag, stutter, and crashing errors.
In other gaming news, the new Valheim patch will save players’ houses. There’s also a new Call of Duty: Warzone update, which, thankfully, nerfs several OP weapons and attachments.
