Dead By Daylight Daryl

Dead By Daylight Walking Dead crossover teased by Norman Reedus

It’s looking like there might be a Dead By Daylight Daryl Dixon survivor coming to the popular horror multiplayer game. A post by Daryl’s actor Norman Reedus — who, of course, also stars in this week’s Death Stranding: Director’s Cut — seems to be teasing the arrival of Daryl as a survivor character in a Dead By Daylight Walking Dead crossover. So what is this tease, and when can players expect to see Dead By Daylight’s Norman Reedus?

When will Dead By Daylight Daryl Walking Dead survivor release?

Dead By Daylight Daryl

If the tease by Norman Reedus is correct, it seems like Daryl Dixon could arrive in Dead By Daylight anytime in the next few months, perhaps even as soon as this month if Reedus is teasing an imminent announcement.

The tease by Norman Reedus was first spotted by the Dead By Daylight Twitter news feed @leaksbydaylight. A few days ago, Reedus posted this animated picture on his Instagram showing Daryl wearing the mask of Dead By Daylight killer The Huntress, and a glance to the Wiki bio for this character suggests a backstory fairly close to Daryl’s.

It seems a very random thing for Norman Reedus to post without explanation, and a crossover between horror multiplayer game Dead By Daylight and The Walking Dead seems long overdue — especially following the soon-to-be-removed Stranger Things DLC and the Resident Evil chapter, which actually added zombies to the game. It does seem like only Daryl Dixon will be making the crossover as a survivor, however, as much like the Evil Dead crossover there isn’t really a suitable “killer” character in The Walking Dead.

Dead By Daylight only recently got a crossover with classic horror series Hellraiser, which didn’t have a survivor character attached, so Daryl Dixon may arrive sooner than fans might think. For certain though, Norman Reedus is first coming to Death Stranding: Director’s Cut, which releases this Friday, September 24.
