Resident Evil Village Rumored to Be Coming Soon to Xbox Game Pass

With the end of the month fast approaching, we’re very likely going to hear about the new games coming to Xbox Game Pass soon. One of those is rumored to Resident Evil Village after Xbox Game Pass was mentioned alongside the game for a brief time in the Xbox Store.

When will Resident Evil Village come to Xbox Game Pass?

Microsoft is yet to confirm any of the games that will be joining the Xbox Game Pass after March 31. Resident Evil Village is thought to be joining the subscription service after a note appeared on the game’s Xbox Store page that it was part of Xbox Game Pass. The note appeared on the page for approximately 20 minutes before it was removed, but it was captured in a screenshot by XGP, as noticed by Reddit. If the notification was not a mistake, it’s highly likely the game will be added to Xbox Game Pass in April or May seeing as it is already appearing in the store.

The addition of the game to Xbox Game Pass would not be unusual bearing in mind several Resident Evil games have already appeared on the service — Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is available on Game Pass right now. Resident Evil Village was released on May 7, 2021, meaning it is coming close to the game’s first anniversary and it would be an ideal time for it to drum up more interest as part of Game Pass. As always, though, take this rumor with a pinch of salt until either Capcom or Microsoft confirms otherwise.

In other news, the creator of Coffee Talk, Mohammad Fahmi, has passed away from unknown causes and tributes have been paid by his friends and family. As well as games, Fahmi also contributed to the upcoming Afterlove EP. Elsewhere, Elden Ring memes have created a brand new final boss following Will Smith and Chris Rock‘s altercation at the Oscars.
