Silent Hill Leak Thicc Dumper
Unfortunately, this image of Pyramid Head with a thicc dumper is from Dead by Daylight, not the leak.

New Silent Hill Leak Has Us Scratching Our Head

It’s a day that ends in “y,” so there’s another rumor concerning everyone’s abandoned IP (pun intended), Silent Hill. Once again, “leaker” Dusk Golem is claiming to be privy to an in-development Silent Hill game, but this time they’re backing it up with a series of screenshots from the project that they say date back to 2020. Unfortunately, these screenshots don’t offer much in the way of answers, and I’m not even convinced they’re all from the same game.

Leaker drops screenshots they claim are from a Silent Hill game currently in production

Dusk Golem dropped four images on Twitter, which they later claimed on ResetEra were DMCA’d by Konami. Anyway, looking at these four images (which you can see on Kotaku because I don’t have that big lawyer money), I don’t have the highest hopes for this game. The hallway full of post-it notes and the woman’s face with “minger” on her cheek reeks of Bloober Team, a studio that managed to make one good game (Observer). The rest of its catalog is exceptionally mediocre, and I could see the devs there thinking a monster covered in post-it notes that say mean things is really deep.

On the other hand, the two images of the messy house (and a third Dusk Golem provided to Kotaku) use a level of photogrammetry far beyond what Blooper Team has shown in its previous titles. The location is extremely reminiscent of the Baker House from Resident Evil 7, which leads me to believe, based on nothing other than my intuition, that these two sets of screens are from two different games (that both may be part of the Silent Hill franchise). I think the former are from Bloober Team (or another smaller studio), and the latter are from a AAA production.

Unfortunately, that’s all we have for now. Instead of offering any other hints or info, Dusk Golem went on a 30+ tweet rant about how they know all sorts of stuff about Silent Hill that they’re not telling and how they could be the biggest leaker ever™ if they wanted. Regrettably, that doesn’t help any of us here on planet Earth. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see an official announcement soon. There have been rumblings about Silent Hill for the last few years from sources more reliable than Dusk Golem, and it’s about time for the rabbit (or several rabbits) to come out of the hat.

In other news, Elden Ring cut content shows that covenants were more involved, and the Dead Space remake is slated to come out in early 2023.
