The Season of Go has just finished in Pokemon Go and it is soon to be replaced by the Season of Light, which will begin with an Inkay Limited Research event that could offer a shiny variant for lucky players. There are also eight Pokemon who may also be found in the wild during the event, due to happen this weekend.
When is the Inkay Limited Research event in Pokemon Go?
The Pokemon Go Inkay Limited Research event takes place between 11 AM and 2 PM local time on September 3. Inkay made his debut during the Psychic Spectacular event in September 2021, but this time the spotlight will be taken by Shiny Inkay, who will be making his own debut in the game during the upcoming event. Players can start their Field Research tasks when they spin Photo Discs at PokéStops and these will lead to an encounter with Inkay, or with Shiny Inkay for lucky players.
As well as the increased chance of encountering Shiny Inkay during the event, there’ll be a double Candy bonus for catching Pokémon. Throughout the three hours of the event, players will also find the following Pokémon in the wild. Those marked with * have shiny variants available during the event too:
- Alolan Rattata *
- Murkrow *
- Houndour *
- Poochyena *
- Nuzleaf
- Sableye *
- Purrloin
- Galarian Zigzagoon *
The Season of Light begins on September 1 with the first part of Season of Light Special Research, a handful of Raids, and a Research Breakthrough. The Season will last until December 1 and there are bound to be more events to follow after the Inkay Limited Research event.
In other news, the tick rate in Splatoon 3 is 30% worse than that of the first game. Elsewhere, the Xbox Games With Gold have been revealed for September 2022 and they include Portal 2 and Thrillville as the final Xbox 360 games to be offered through the program.
