Deadpool 3 and Wolverine: What Did Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman Say in Twitter Announcement?

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman returned to Twitter after revealing that Wolverine would be a part of Deadpool 3, teasing fans about what they should expect from the R-rated film. Though the sultry tones of George Michael blasted over much of what they were saying, delivering a dose of Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go to those watching, there were a few words and actions that we were able to decipher.

Deadpool 3: Ryan Reynolds teased a Deadpool and Wolverine fight in Twitter announcement

Just before Wham! really take over this so called “explainer video,” Reynolds can be heard saying: “These two f**king guys, get out there, and I just f**king hate him, I’m chasing him all over the place…” Jackman then interjects, adding: “We have this massive, massive, huge, huge thing, explosions…” before the actors begin play fighting, acting as if they are completely in character right there and then.

Reynolds mocks reaching behind his back for Deadpool’s katana blades, and Jackman acts as though he has drawn Wolverine’s adamantium claws. While Reynolds teases Deadpool stabbing the mutant straight in the stomach with both blades, Jackman then shows how the X-Men character would fight back by digging his claws straight into the anti-hero’s skull. Of course, Deadpool would regenerate and heal after this brawl, leaving the pair to continue their battle. Whether or not this faceoff will be replicated in Deadpool 3 remains to be seen, but just knowing that the two are going to be sharing the spotlight in the movie is enough to get fans excited.

Deadpool 3 is set to hit the big screen on September 6, 2024. Bob’s Burgers duo Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin wrote the first draft of the screenplay, which has now been taken over by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

In other news, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman confirmed Logan is canon after their Deadpool 3 announcement, and Andor viewers spotted the Starkiller armor in an Easter Egg for episode 4 of the Star Wars series.
