She-Hulk Episode 7: Josh Exposed as True Intentions Revealed

She-Hulk episode 7 made its debut today and with it came a twist that exposed our titular hero’s love interest, Josh, as working for the mysterious figure known only as HulkKing. With just two episodes left in the Disney Plus series, Josh’s true intent was revealed, though for now, only the viewers at home know it.

Why did Josh get close to Jen in She-Hulk episode 7?

After meeting at a friend’s wedding, Jen and Josh started dating. Jen loved that Josh was all about her human form, rather than simply being mesmerized by She-Hulk, and their flirtatious ways soon turned into them sharing a night of passion. When Jen woke up the following morning, however, Josh had left her in the dust and started ghosting her. While Jen thought he was simply a jerk, the end of episode 7 proved that he had much darker intentions following their fling.

The audience watched as a flashback showed Josh waking up in the night, and texting a contact on his phone called HulkKing. He sent three emojis across to whoever it is that he’s working for, suggesting he has been successful in stealing a sample of Jen’s blood for the villain. This is a continuation of a narrative that first started back in episode 3 when the Wrecking Crew was introduced to the MCU and failed in their attempt at taking She-Hulk down.

Now that the sample has been taken, the final two episodes of the series will likely see the identity of HulkKing revealed, along with their reasons for wanting to destroy Jen. The highly-anticipated arrival of Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, is also going to play into proceedings, following the hero’s inclusion being teased in episode 5.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law continues Thursdays on Disney Plus.

In other news, She-Hulk episode 7 introduced the villains Man-Bull, El Aguila, Porcupine, and Saracen to the MCU, and both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman confirmed Logan is still canon after their Deadpool 3 and Wolverine Twitter announcement.
