Resident Evil 3 Remake Stuttering Zombies Fix

Resident Evil 3 Remake Stuttering Zombies Fix | Why are enemies lagging?

While Resident Evil 3 remake aims for 60 FPS across all platforms, with PC, PS4, and Xbox One all targeting smooth gameplay, it’s still possible to experience stutter and lag. This can be down to hardware, especially on the PC side of things, but there is also intentional lag that causes enemies to stutter around. Here’s what you need to know about an RE3 remake stuttering zombies fix.

How to fix zombies lagging in Resident Evil 3 remake

To stop zombies lagging in Resident Evil 3 remake, you simply have to move closer to them. You see, RE3 remake does indeed run at 60 FPS, but distant objects can have their animation FPS cut in order to provide more bandwidth to the items in focus.

Though the developers haven’t yet confirmed this, the zombies lagging in Resident Evil 3 remake are likely intentional, as having background animations running at a lower frame-rate is actually a common way to save on performance. It’s just that other games disguise this technique a little better.

Unfortunately for those looking to have smooth animations at all times, there isn’t yet a fix that the player can do. It’s up to the developers to tweak things with a post-launch update, either by finding performance from somewhere or by hiding the stutter a bit better. For now, you’ll just have to treat the laggy animations as though they are just another symptom of the T-virus, along with becoming undead and yearning for human flesh!

Game Revolution will be covering post-launch updates and support for the game, so stay tuned for any potential fixes that are rolled out post-launch.
