Deathloop is a complex game that gives players an arsenal of weapons, abilities, gadgets, and more to play with. As expected, this leads to a rather complicated combination of controls for switching weapons, equipping grenades, using a Slab ability, etc. It’s easy to get muddled, especially in the heat of battle. Thankfully, for those who aren’t vibing well with the default control scheme, there’s a way to change Deathloop’s controls on PS5 and PC.
How to change controls in Deathloop on PS5
To change controls in Deathloop on PS5, players must do the following:
- Head to the PS5 System Settings.
- Go to “Accessibility.”
- Select “Controllers” and then “Custom Button Assignments.”
- Use this menu to set custom button assignments.
While there is no way to change the controls inside of Deathloop itself, PS5 players can thankfully depend upon the PS5’s built-in control remapping.
Unfortunately, players will need to change the controls back when playing a different game. At the time of writing, the PS5 doesn’t allow for different control profiles for each game, which would definitely save time!
For those who find the default settings difficult to use, the PS5’s built-in ability to switch buttons comes in clutch. However, it would certainly be nice to see a “Change Control Scheme” option inside of the Deathloop game itself. Here’s hoping it can be added in a future update.
Unsurprisingly, PC players can rebind keys without issue. Just head into the Controls menu and start remapping.
In other gaming news, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been revealed. The first trailer included footage of Peter and Miles fighting side by side, but the devs have confirmed that there won’t be any co-op.
Uncharted is coming to PC for the first time in the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. This makes for another previous Sony exclusive franchise that’s now making the leap to PC.
