How to catch Ralts and location in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl catch Ralts

The good news is that catching Ralts in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is a very familiar process. It involves the exact same steps as catching any of the other Pokemon in the game: searching for one in wild areas, then landing a successful Pokeball throw.

There are some locations where Ralts is more likely to appear. Namely, you’ll want to check the Grand Underground network of caves. Ralts is most common there, especially in certain spots. Here’s the locations where you’re most likely to find and catch Ralts:

  • Fountainspring Cave
  • Dazzling Cave
  • Stargleam Cavern

In these Grand Underground spots, wild Pokemon walk around visibly, so you’ll know if there’s a Ralts in there. If not, check back at different times of day, as Pokemon spawns can vary based on the in-game clock. Of course, there are chances of catching Ralts elsewhere, but these are the most reliable spots

Once you spot a Ralts, the catching process will be very familiar. You can either throw one of your Pokeballs straight off the bat, or weaken Ralts through battle. Wild Pokemon are generally easier to catch when their HP is lower, so it’s a good idea to battle a little. Of course, you don’t want to accidentally knock out the Ralts, or you’ll have to start the process all over again.

When playing, be careful not to fall into the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl walking trap bug. If you want to catch an Eevee too, we’ve got a handy catch guide.
