The Dark and Darker experience is one full of peril, where every second counts in a hostile high-fantasy PvPvE environment, and in the latest demo from IRONMACE, they’ve introduced some more precious ore to mine and try to extract with. Mining in Dark and Darker is tough, with players needing to balance finding Cobalt and Rubysilver ore deposits on the map while keeping their wits about them, playing their class optimally and watching out for ambushes in the dark dungeons.
Dark and Darker: Where to find Rubysilver and Cobalt ore’s location
If you’re looking to craft some new armor to increase your survivability, you’ll need ore to so. Nodes of Cobalt and Rubysilver ore can be found around the two maps currently available, but like any PvPvE experience, spawns are entirely randomized. We would recommend hopping into the new Goblin Caves map, and rushing toward the main central hub, ore deposits are often found along the bottom floor walls.

More importantly though, you’ll need a pickaxe to even interact with any ore deposits. To get a pickaxe, open up the Weaponsmith’s merchant tab and he should have one available for purchase for 25 gold. It’s a basic Tool item that just needs to be equipped when you’re roaming the dungeons, so once you locate some ore, hit the F key to start mining it.
