Rick and Morty Virtual Rick-Ality Releases on PlayStation VR in April

Rick and Morty Virtual Rick-Ality will release for the PlayStation VR on April 20th, 2018. The game was originally released for the PC in April 2017. Developed by Owlchemy Labs and published by Adult Swim Games, the game is compatible with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.

Rick and Morty Virtual Rick-Ality is a virtual reality adventure game which immerses players in the wacky and unusual world of the Rick and Morty TV series. Players assume the role of a Morty clone, in the middle of a unique story that takes them across dimensions and visiting alien planets. Players move from one spot to another by warping.

Additionally, players can look forward to the authentic experience of getting yelled at by Rick, just like the real Rick always does in the TV series. This is due to the fact that players are outfitted with a wristwatch from which a hologram of Rick appears to bark orders. They can also pick up a diverse range of crap and throw it at their favorite Rick and Morty characters. A being called Mr. Youseeks can be summoned to help in completing tasks.

For the retail version, players can choose between the standard edition of Rick and Morty Virtual Rick-Ality or the Collector’s Edition, which comes with a Funko POP! Rick and an exclusive two-sided art poster (via PlayStation Blog). Prices have yet to be revealed.

Owlchemy Labs was founded in 2010 by Alex Schwartz. The developer is best known for making virtual reality games like Job Simulator, which was released in 2016 for the PS4 and PC. Rick and Morty is an adult animated science-fiction sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon of Community fame, for Cartoon Network’s late-night programming block Adult Swim. The series follows the misadventures of cynical mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty Smith, who splits their time between domestic life and interdimensional adventures.
