Rocket League Announces Collaboration With WWE

Psyonix has announced a partnership between Rocket League and the WWE. This collaboration will be going on throughout 2018. As part of this deal, Rocket League players can expect to see the game in real life all over the WWE universe. It will be showing up regularly on UpUpDownDown, WWE’s YouTube gaming channel with more than 1.4 million subscribers. The show will be hosted by Austin Creed, also known as WWE superstar Xavier Woods.

The presence of Rocket League will also be felt at live WWE events in the form of sponsorships. According to the site, the game can already be seen as recently as the Elimination Chamber event a few nights ago. Rocket League players who are also huge WWE fans will be happy to learn that the game will be a partner of one of wrestling’s biggest events in the world, WrestleMania 34.

Attendees will have the opportunity of playing Rocket League at WrestleMania 34, which will take place in New Orleans starting from April 8th, 2018. That’s not all, as the world of WWE will be entering Rocket League through the addition of in-game customization items. These WWE-themed items will probably arrive in the form of decals, flags and even cars but Psyonix has not revealed the specific details yet.

The WWE-themed in-game customization items will start arriving in April, presumably to coincide with WrestleMania 34. WWE is not the only cross-media entertainment IP that Rocket League is partnering with. Psyonix recently announced a DC Comics-themed DLC pack containing decals, banners, and cars, which will be arriving in March.

Rocket League is a vehicular football/soccer game developed and published by Psyonix. It was originally released for the PS4 and PC in 2015. It was later released on the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in 2016 and 2017, respectively. The game has ventured into eSports, with Psyonix hosting competitions through the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS).
