The cast for Fargo Season 5 continues to be fleshed out, with Stranger Things actor Joe Keery joining the ranks alongside New Girl’s Lamorne Morris. Richa Moorjani, who has just finished filming on the fourth and final season of Never Have I Ever, has also joined the anthology series’ roster.

Only the names of the characters Keery, Morris, and Moorjani will play have been revealed. Keery’s character is called Gator Tillman, with Morris as Witt Farr and Moorjani playing a woman named Indira Olmstead. They join the previously announced season leads Jon Hamm, Juno Temple, and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

The season itself will take place in Minnesota at some point in 2019, flirting with themes of conspiracy, deceit, and betrayal. It will ask the question: “when is a kidnapping not a kidnapping, and what if your wife isn’t yours?” as revealed in a press release earlier this year. Taking place just before the global outbreak of Covid-19, writer Noah Hawley previously told Deadline that the pandemic will have some effect on his writing.

“I don’t think anyone will write about Minnesota in the same way again after the events of the last couple of years,” he said. “It’s definitely not going back to ‘Oh look at these jolly, carefree white folk in their small towns.'”

Some incredible A-list actors have starred in Fargo across the years including Ewan McGregor, Chris Rock, Carrie Coon, Billy Bob Thornton, and Kirsten Dunst. The series has always been a critical success, regularly bringing in over a million viewers with each episode across seasons 1 to 3.

There is no release date yet for Fargo Season 5. The show is expected to return to FX at some point in 2023.

In other news, more details and rumors about Loki Season 2 have been circulating, while fans of The Orville hope that the comedy series is headed for a fourth season.
