Mario Golf Added to Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack N64 Library Today

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers will find the Nintendo 64 library has grown slightly after Mario Golf became the 14th N64 title to be included in the library. The title joins more than 20 SEGA Genesis games and DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

When is the Mario Golf release date?

Mario Golf was added to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack today, April 15. A total of 14 new and familiar characters from the Mushroom Kingdom, like Yoshi, Wario, Baby Mario, Peach, and Donkey Kong, play golf on several courses with a distinct Mario theme. There are ten different modes that can be played in single-player or with up to three friends, such as Speed Golf, Ring Shot, and Tournament.

The game joins the Nintendo 64 Collection alongside F-Zero X, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Lylat Wars, Paper Mario, Yoshi’s Story, Dr. Mario 64, Mario Tennis, Banjo-Kazooie, Sin & Punishment, and Operation Winback. NES Open Tournament Golf, a game that could be considered a predecessor of Mario Golf 64, is one of more than 60 NES games available for all Nintendo Switch Online players to play regardless of whether they subscribe to the Expansion Pack or not.

Two more Nintendo 64 titles have been promised to be added to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack soon – Pokemon Snap and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards – although we don’t know when that will be. Hopefully, they’ll be added quite soon.

In other news, No More Heroes 3 will be coming to PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One later this year. The game will be able to make use of the higher processing power of all of the new platforms. Elsewhere, the first DLC expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 is still in progress but won’t be released until next year.
