Roller Champions Crashing Issues Plague PS5, PS4, Xbox, and PC Launch

Ubisoft’s free-to-play multiplayer game Roller Champions launched today on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, S, and PC. Despite many alpha and beta tests in the last couple of years, Roller Champions has been plagued with crashing issues on all platforms for many.

Roller Champions Crashing fix is coming

Many players have taken to the Roller Champions subreddit to discuss problems they are facing on the game’s launch day. User u/drummerman2015 said, “the game crashes every time I hop into a match (Xbox series X).” Meanwhile, similar issues were happening on PlayStation. u/PPMaster21 said: nearly every time I try to find a match it crashes when I try to join the skatepark it crashes every time, I’m on PlayStation btw.” Fellow user Vozki said they had similar issues on PC, with many usual fixes not working. The user restarted their PC and their router, ran Ubisoft Connect as an admin, and even reinstalled the game. All of which resulted in an infinite loading screen after an initial two hours of play.

Ubisoft has acknowledged the crashing problems for Roller Champions on its support site and says they are working to resolve all issues as soon as possible. The publisher has apologized for the inconvenience caused and will update fans in the support thread.

Since it was released in the early hours, the developers have been fixing bugs with Roller Champions. An issue became apparent where players were unable to purchase the “Roller Pass” (the game’s very own battle pass), which has since been fixed.

In other news, the map for Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has been leaked, which includes many notable Modern Warfare 2 locations. Destiny 2’s Season of the Haunted launched yesterday, read the full patch notes. Meanwhile, the open beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will come first to PS4 and PS5 despite Microsoft closing on an acquisition of Activision.
